EZTV Player (“the app”, “we”) is an IPTV media player. This policy explains what information the app handles and why.
EZTV Player does not require you to create an account with us. It includes a small DEMO playlist of public, authorised test streams so playback can be evaluated. Apart from that demo, EZTV does not provide, host, or supply TV channels, movies, or streams. You connect your own third-party IPTV service using credentials you already have. We are not affiliated with any content provider, and you are responsible for ensuring the sources you add are legal.
Your IPTV login (server address, username, password, or M3U playlist URL), your favorites, and your watch progress are stored locally on your device. This information is not sent to us except as described in Section 3.
If you turn on cross-device sync, your favorites and watch progress are stored on our sync service (operated using Cloudflare) so they follow you across your devices. To protect your privacy, this data is keyed to a one-way SHA-256 hash of your IPTV credentials — your actual username and password are never transmitted to or stored on our server. You can disable sync at any time.
Free users see ads provided by Google AdMob. Google may process device identifiers, approximate location derived from network information, advertising and product interactions, performance information, crash data, and other diagnostics to deliver, secure, and measure ads under Google’s policies. Some advertising data may be linked to your device. On first launch we ask your permission (Apple’s App Tracking Transparency) before allowing cross-app tracking for advertising; if you decline, ads may still appear but are not personalized. Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. Upgrading to Premium removes ads entirely.
Premium is sold through Apple’s In-App Purchase. Apple processes the transaction; we do not receive or store your payment details. A signed purchase receipt is validated only to confirm your Premium entitlement.
The app does not use third-party analytics beyond the advertising described above. A local, on-device check for a modified (jailbroken) device is performed for security; its result is not transmitted.
EZTV Player is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Locally stored data is removed when you delete the app. Turning off sync only pauses future syncing. You can permanently erase the current profile’s synced favorites and watch state with Settings → Delete synced data, or email us to request assistance.
We may update this policy from time to time; the date above reflects the current version.
